These are seriously stunning, hand-made sacred Naga (conch) shell necklaces inlaid with turquoise & coral and with a yak-bone button clasp; a real conversation piece of wearable art. Stylish and unusual, the fabulous beads represent blessings and good luck. Each bead is unique, and we offer some necklaces with less beads for lighter wear (the full set can be a bit heavy for some people).
The beads are both oblong and round, and all have the fabulous turquoise and coral inlay infilling the imperfections in the conch shell.
Offering two types, some with round and some with oblong beads. Heavier version - oblong has around15 beads/necklace @170-201 g, 15mm diameter; round has 25-27 beads @ 200-264g, 22mm diameter. All about 5.5cm long strand.
The lighter variation offers less beads per necklace, in both round and oblong and a similar strand length which can be varied. Also in shorter strand length for closer to the neck.
Much power is vested in the sacred naga or conch shell in both Buddhist and Hindu belief. A symbol of infinity, it blesses all kinds of energy and is said to bring good luck. The naga shell represents order, rational thought and civilisation; truthful speech and strength. Wear this object of beauty hand crafted in Nepal with turquoise and coral inlay. It's gorgeous.
